PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for generating a recording medium and using it by which the content of a stored image is viewed. SOLUTION: When the recording medium 500 with image data recorded therein is manufactured, the image data are acquired first. Then a code 504 obtained by encoding the image data is generated based on the image data and printed on the recording medium 500. Then the image 502 is printed on the recording medium 500, based on the image data. In this state, the recording medium 500 is manufactured by which the content of the stored image is viewed.
