PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position and fix a slide glass by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The stage device 1 includes: a mounting face 3 on which a slide glass 2 is placed; abutment parts 5a and 5b on which the two adjacent sides 2c and 2d of the slide glass 2 placed on the mounting face 3 are abutted; and a pressing mechanism 4 by which two sides 2a and 2b opposite to the two sides 2c and 2d abutted on the abutment parts 5a and 5b are pressed toward the abutment parts 5a and 5b respectively. The pressing mechanism 4 has a plurality of pressing members 11 and 12 which press the two sides 2a and 2b of the slide glass 2 with different timings. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
