PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flame failure of a cooking appliance in a kitchen while improving exhaust efficiency by providing a blow out opening of air in a neighborhood of a cooking stove (a combustion part). SOLUTION: In the ventilation system, the blow out opening 15 blowing air upward is arranged in the rear of a gas burner 25, and a hood 16 sucking up air is arranged above the gas burner 25. Thermal power sensors 30a, 30b are provided for detecting thermal power of the gas burner 25 on the basis of a turning angle of a gas quantity control knob. A controller 40 is provided for controlling fans 11, 13 or duct dampers 17a, 17b in response to detected thermal power of the thermal power sensors 30a, 30b. Accordingly, when thermal power is weak, flame failure can be prevented by controlling the fans 11, 13, or the like and reducing a blow out air amount. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
