PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable ignitor wherein ignition is prevented when an operation button is pressed by mistake when folding a turning arm part to make the ignitor compact. SOLUTION: The foldable ignitor 1 comprised of a body 2 having a fuel tank, a piezoelectric unit 102, and an operation member 8, and a turning arm part 4 has a locking mechanism preventing pressing operation of the operation member 8. The locking mechanism is comprised of a thick part 74 provided within a predetermined range of cylindrical walls 26a, 26c integrally formed with the turning arm part 4, and a hook part 8b extending from one part of the operation member 8 to the cylindrical walls. The predetermined range provided with the thick part 74 is a range interfering with the hook part 8b when an opening angle of the turning arm part 4 with respect to the body 2 is a predetermined angle or less, and when the operation member 8 is pressed when the opening angle of the turning arm part 4 is the predetermined angle or less, the hook part 8b interferes with the thick part 74 to prevent pressing.
