PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorber capable of having a good heat-transfer characteristic using a simple configuration, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Sealed containers 220, 230 are formed respectively by a first casing 220 and a second casing 230 comprising box-shaped casings having respective outer peripheral edges 220d, 230d, with the outer peripheral edges 220d, 230d being opposed and joined to each other to form an airtight chamber therebetween. Water jackets 250, 260 are formed respectively by a first heat medium casing 250 and a second heat medium casing 260 comprising box-shaped casings having respective outer peripheral flanges 250d, 260d and opposed to each other to hermetically seal a heat exchange medium that circulates on the outsides of the first and second casings 220, 230. The first and second heat medium casings 250, 260 have respective first airtight members 251, 261 each made of an elastic body and disposed between their respective insides and the outsides of the first and second casings 220, 230 to cover the outsides of the first and second casings 220, 230 including the outer peripheral edges 220d, 230d.
