PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a heat-resistant polylactic acid suitable for industrial mass production and to obtain a heat-resistant polylactic acid. SOLUTION: The method for producing a heat-resistant polylactic acid comprises a process for mixing a polyfunctional monomer containing an allyl group and a glycidyl group with a polylactic acid at the melting point of the polylactic acid or above to produce a polylactic acid composition, a process for forming the polylactic acid composition obtained by the process into a desired form, and a process for crosslinking the formed material of the polylactic acid obtained by the process.
