A cooling device of a motor, comprising a fan cover (4) enclosing the forward portion and the outer peripheral portion of an impeller (2) pivotally supported on the rotating shaft (1a) of the motor (1) and having an air inlet (5) at the front thereof and an air outlet (6) at the rear thereof. On the outlet side of the impeller (2), a reduced flow space (S1) is formed of a motor end face (1b) having an inlet near the rear face side of the vanes (3) of the impeller (2) and having a peripheral surface diverging to the diagonally rear outer side in the radial direction and a space compartment member (10) formed on the inner surface of the fan cover (4). ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
