<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller for a vehicle capable of performing torque assist control with higher fuel economy efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: Since torque burden ratio or torque burden rate for additional torque T<SB>A</SB>of an engine 10 and a motor generator MG1 is determined by a torque burden determining means 112 based on the results of comparison of fuel economy efficiency K<SB>1</SB>of the engine (a first driving force source) 10 when generating the additional torque T<SB>A</SB>calculated by an additional torque calculation means 106 to obtain demand driving force T<SB>R</SB>by adding to basic torque T<SB>B</SB>with fuel economy efficiency K<SB>2</SB>of the motor generator (a second driving force source) MG1, torque assist control with high fuel economy efficiency is performed even if the engine 10 is operated in a low speed side rotation region, various control operations are performed in accordance with vehicle condition, and the optimum fuel economy curve of the engine for generating basic output torque is changed depending on the vehicle condition to increase fuel economy of the vehicle further. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
