The ink changing installation, incorporating cleaners for the various inking components such as a cellular roller (3), scraper chamber (4) and scraper chamber cleaner (5), has the latter designed to perform an initial function of recuperating the residual ink from the scraper chamber before the chamber is washed out with cleaning fluid. The used cleaning fluid is recovered in a reservoir and stored for use in a scraper chamber pre-cleaning operation in preparation for an ink change. The residual ink in the scraper chamber can be collected with the aid of a pressurised gas or a mechanical spatula. |
