A method and an apparatus of manufacturing a display device are provided to generate an optimal common voltage, a reference gradation voltage, and reference compensation image data by using plural photosensors. An apparatus of manufacturing a display device includes a driver, a first communication line, an image signal generator(70), plural photosensors, a second communication line(20), and a signal processor(60). The first communication line is connected to the driver. The image signal generator generates an image signal and transmits the image signal to the display device. The photosensors receive the light from the display device at various positions and generate plural detect signals. The second communication line is connected to the first communication line. The signal processor controls the image signal generator, receives the detect signal, generates driving data for the display device based on the detect signal, and transmits the driving data to the driver through the first and second communication lines.
