The detector takes two states based on whether a connection between the end piece and the terminal is good or bad. An electronic device has an aerial (24) connected to a radio frequency identification transponder (22) with two states and a base station for remotely examining a state of the transponder, where the state of the transponder is controlled based on a state of the detector.
