<p>In a process for methanol synthesis in which the natural gas and the steam are reacted in a primary reforming section obtaining a gaseous mixture comprising CO, CO2, H2 in stoichiometric excess and CH4 and thereafter the gaseous mixture is reacted in a synthesis section obtaining methanol, a gaseous flow comprising CO, CO2, H2 and CH4 is purged from the synthesis section and is fed to a H2 separation unit obtaining a first gaseous phase substantially consisting of H2 and a second gaseous phase comprising CO, CO2 and CH4 and substantially free of H2, and in that the second gaseous phase comprising CO, CO2 and CH4 and substantially free of H2 is recycled to the primary reforming section.</p> |
