Sterilizable semi-rigid container with lid and label

A semi-rigid container, of coated aluminum foil, has a sealing edge (18) along the side wall (14) to which a lid (28) is attached so that it can be peeled back. A printed, sterilizable label is attached to the lid (28) or base (12) by means of adhesive. The seal (18) can be formed by a flange, which is continuous with the flat part of the lid to which the label is attached. An independent claim is included for the corresponding manufacturing process in which the label is attached to the base material for deep drawing the container in a predetermined position.
