PURPOSE: A floor-mounted type air conditioner is provided to improve the performance of a heat exchanger by equalizing wind velocity distribution of air passing through the heat exchanger and prevent dew condensation by equalizing wind velocity distribution at a diffuser port. CONSTITUTION: A casing(6) is installed at a lower part of a rear panel(4), containing a motor(7) inside. A ventilating part is formed by supporting the motor by the rear panel and mounting a centrifugal fan(8) at a rotary shaft(10). The casing is formed of a casing suction port(6a) facing a main body suction port(2), and a casing diffuser port(6b) opening upward. A heat exchanger(9) is arranged on the casing in an inverse V shape, wherein the heat exchanger is formed of a rear heat exchanger(9b) and a front heat exchanger(9a) different in the number of accumulated stages. |
