PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of reducing driver's burden by steering reaction force when he/she drives a vehicle to put it in a garage and preventing the driver from having sense of incongruity in steering. SOLUTION: This power steering device is provided with a driving condition detection means for detecting a driving condition of the vehicle accompanied with driver's driving operation, a means for discriminating putting the vehicle into the garage for discriminating that the vehicle is being put in the garage in accordance with the information detected by the driving condition detection means, and a steering auxiliary force control means for increasing steering auxiliary force when the means for discriminating putting the vehicle into the garage discriminates that the vehicle is being put in the garage and reducing steering auxiliary force when the means discriminates that the vehicle is not put in the garage.
