<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen occluding material capable of occluding/releasing highly pure, and a sufficient amount of, hydrogen at a low temperature, and its production method. <P>SOLUTION: In the hydrogen occluding material made of a crystal particle having a graphite structure, the crystal particle is formed by including carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms, an atomic ratio (N/C) of the nitrogen atom to the carbon atom is 0.05-0.5 in the crystal particle, and a crystal particle size inside the surface containing both of the a-axis and the b-axis of the graphite structure as well as a crystal particle size in the c-axis direction of the graphite structure 10 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
