A prism sheet and a backlight unit comprising the same are provided to use no diffusing plate, thereby reducing the thickness of the backlight unit and improving the brightness of light incident onto an LCD panel, by forming the prism sheet to have a diffusing function and a condensing function. A prism sheet comprises a plurality of prism configurations(420). A lateral surface part of each prism configuration includes a plurality of concave portions(431) and a plurality of convex portions(441). The lateral surface part of the prism configuration is composed of a first surface, on which the plurality of concave portions are formed, and a second surface, on which the plurality of convex portions are formed. The prism sheet further comprises a prism support part(410) and a base part(411). The prism configurations are formed on the base part. |
