A housing system for medical sensors is made available with an interface (2) for making electrical contact with a sensor (1), system components (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for the processing of the sensor signals for the provision to an electromagnetic transmitter unit (9) with an aerial (12), and in which the system components (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and the transmitter unit (9) are supplied from a current source (10). The system components may be connected together in a modular fashion using plug in connectors. The current source may be rechargeable and may be connected to an accumulator charging system via inductive coupling. The sensor may be a temperature or moisture probe or an ECG electrode. |
