FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, loading equipment with cutting devices. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with horizontal forks and U-shaped knife driven by two hydraulic cylinders. Fork central tooth is rigidly fixed on horizontal beam. Other teeth are located in longitudinal slots of horizontal beam for displacement along slots by means of links of articulated leverage mechanism. Central links of articulated leverage mechanism are pivotally mounted on shaft rigidly secured on slide, which is movable in vertical plane along vertical guiding bars attached to frame upper and lower beams. Slide is driven by double-action hydraulic cylinder. Lower end of slide is placed within rectangular-section slot of stem of hydraulic cylinder and fixed by means of bolts. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of apparatus owing to the possibility of adjusting fork teeth pitch. ^ 4 dwg
