FIELD: steel casting industry, namely apparatuses for cooling slabs or sheets of materials, possibly for controlled cooling of thick sheets and strips, and also for polymeric material production. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing having first member and second member (both members are made of cast steel), joined one to other and holding distributing plate placed between them. Width of first housing member corresponds to that of nozzle for emitting flat stream. Cover strip is secured to first wall of first housing member for forming flat- stream nozzle together with second wall of housing member. ^ EFFECT: apparatus with large width of working zone providing rather uniform cooling and high quality of cooled surface. ^ 10 cl, 1 dwg |
