FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, loading equipment with cutting devices. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with fork equipped with horizontal teeth, and U-shaped knife consisting of front cutting member and two side cutting members rigidly connected with one another. Carrier plates of U-shaped knife are provided with square receptacles. Replaceable cutting members established in receptacles of carrier plates are made in the form of four-faced truncated pyramids. Through openings of square cross section provided in central parts of receptacle bases have rounded angles and longitudinal slot of rectangular section. Depth of slot is equal to depth of receptacle. Variable section insert is positioned within slot. End of bent portion of insert is made flush with carrier plate faces. Inclined component of triangular part of insert is coplanar with faces of cutting members, which are facing receptacles of respective plates. Seating-fixing projections of cutting members are located within through openings of receptacles of cutting members to thereby fix position of cutting members. Bolts secure cutting members to opposite carrier plate. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation due to fixing of cutting member relative to carrier plate within receptacle. ^ 5 dwg
