FIELD: technology for identifying and tracking equipment units, primarily, pipes. ^ SUBSTANCE: antenna is electrically connected to reacting response device, such as radio frequency identification device. Antenna may be positioned around external and/or internal pipe surface. Transmitter-receiver may be moved outside or inside the pipe at significant distance from that pipe. Communication is provided between transmitter-receiver and reacting device irrespectively to orientation of the pipe.
