FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors designed for carrying lump and loose loads. Proposed conveyor has posts, belt with carrying and return runs endlessly closed on drum and support members installed on posts for supporting sides of both runs of belt. Sides of belt are made with rounded-off projections pointed outside, with smooth mating with middle equal thickness part of belt. Carrying and return runs of belt are arranged equidistantly relative to each other. Support members are made in from of buses of round cross section for engagement with projections of belt on its carrying and return runs from side of longitudinal axis of belt, and flat guides arranged between sides of carrying and return runs of belt for engagement with them. Buses and flat guides are arranged in longitudinal direction relative to conveyor, and their working surfaces are coated with layer of antifriction material. ^ EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost of conveyor owing to dispensing with rotation support members of belt. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
