A control panel assembly of a washing machine is provided to preclude a fitting rib from being incorrectly combined and confirm that the fitting rib is assembled at a correct position by forming a incorrect assembly preventing unit at a coating guide mounting part. A control panel assembly of a washing machine comprises a control panel; a coating guide(135) mounted at the rear of the control panel and installed with a receiving space where the PCB base plate is received; a coating guide mounting part(175) projected at the rear of the control panel and formed with plural fitting parts(180) to mount the lower side of the coating guide when mounting the coating guide; plural fitting ribs(190) projected at the lower side of the coating guide to be fitted at the fitting parts; and an incorrect assembly preventing unit(200) formed at the coating guide mounting part to prevent the fitting rib from being incorrectly assembled. The plural fitting parts are separated from the coating guide mounting part with a predetermined gap.
