MOLDING METHOD OF END PART OF HEADREST STAY AND HEADREST STAY MANUFACTURED BY THE METHOD

A method for molding an end portion of a headrest stay and the headrest stay manufactured by the same are provided to easily form the end portion of the annular rod-shaped headrest stay by tapering the end portion at the predetermined curvature radius by forcibly fitting a molding tool. The method for molding an end portion of an annular rod-shaped headrest stay in a tapered form by using a headrest stay end portion molding device(10) comprises the steps of: fixing a molding tool(13) having a groove(13a) on the front side to a molding tool fixing jig(11); fixing the headrest stay between semi-circular grooves of both jigs(15,17) by transferring the movable jig to the fixed jig by a first transfer unit(19); tapering the end portion of the headrest stay in the predetermined curvature radius by press-fitting the end portion of the headrest stay into the groove of the molding tool by moving the molding tool fixing jig by a second transfer unit(21); and separating the headrest stay by transferring the molding tool fixing jig and the movable jig in the opposite directions.
