摘要 A velocity detection device, a velocity detection method, a velocity detection program, a position detection device, a position detection method, a position detection program, and a navigation system are provided to calculate the velocity of a moving body with high precision by compensating progressive components of gravitational acceleration included in the detected acceleration when the moving body moves on the road except for the horizontal plane. A velocity detection device is composed of: an acceleration sensor(11) obtaining detected acceleration correspondent to the result output by adding the acceleration of a moving body in the progressive direction and progressive components of gravitational acceleration applied on the moving body; an altitude change calculating unit(14) computing the change rate of altitude during a predetermined measurement period of the moving body on the basis of atmospheric pressure detected by an atmospheric pressure sensor(12) around the moving body; and a velocity calculating unit(16) for calculating the acceleration of the moving body by compensating progressive components included in the detected acceleration on the basis of the change rate of altitude by using the ratio between the progressive component of the gravitational acceleration and the gravitational acceleration correspondent to the ratio between the change rate of altitude and the moving distance of the moving body during the measurement period and computing the velocity of the moving body at the measurement finishing time by using the acceleration of the moving body on the basis of the existing velocity of the moving body at the measurement starting time.
