The device has a tube (1) for connecting a common ramp (2) to an injector, and a cavity (8) filled with fuel and connected to the tube. A channel (6) connects a cylindrical housing (7) to the tube. The channel and cavity form a Helmholtz resonator. The volume of the cavity is adjustable with respect to nominal volume. A pressure regulator (12) is connected to the cavity and activated by a logic controller of an internal combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for injecting a fuel.
