<p>This applipation relates to a MIMO system (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) comprising a beamformer both at the transmitter and at the receiver. A method for channel selection calculates the correct steering parameters for the transmit beams based on the fact that each spatial channel is associated with a steering vector. The correct steering parameters, namely the correct transmit beams, are determined either by a search process across all space, i.e., over all theta and Phi, or by a closed mathematical procedure, i.e. deriving an expression for the dot product. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007</p> |
