A driving apparatus of a display device is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of a multiplexer by embedding the multiplexer in a data drive IC. A driving apparatus of a display device includes a controller(600), a gray scale voltage generator(800), and a data driver(500). The controller processes an image signal and outputs the processed image signal and a selection signal. The gray scale voltage generator generates a first gray scale reference voltage and a second gray scale reference voltage. The data driver receives the first and second gray scale reference voltages and the selection signal and generates a data voltage corresponding to the image signal.
