A method for providing user favorite program recommend service is provided to allow a digital broadcasting receiver user to more efficiently tune a desired broadcasting program and to allow a digital broadcasting station to analyze the audience rate of a broadcasting program. Broadcasting programs viewed by a user are accumulated and analyzed to generate user favorite program information(S10,S11). The user favorite program information is transmitted to a broadcasting station server connected through a network, and then user favorite program recommend information provided by the broadcasting station server is received(S16). The received user favorite program recommend information is displayed as a user-interfaceable menu image(S17).
