FLAT FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

A flat light-emitting lamp and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using the lamp are provided to simplify a process of manufacturing the flat light-emitting lamp by sealing up a discharge space of the lamp using a solid sealant. A flat light-emitting lamp includes a front substrate(41), a rear substrate(42), a sidewall(49), and a solid sealant(46). The front substrate and the rear substrate face each other having a discharge space between them and have different areas. The sidewall is located at the edge of the front substrate and the rear substrate. The solid sealant surrounds the sidewall and a part of the front substrate to seal up the discharge space.
