PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, where the changing of the imaging characteristic of the imaging apparatus by setting change in the control parameters is reflected to main imaging, by simply performing setting change of the control parameter regulating the imaging characteristics of the imaging apparatus, in the imaging apparatus, using an imaging element that has a plurality of different photoelectric conversion characteristics. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus that uses the imaging element having the plurality of different photoelectric conversion characteristics, a user can set the control parameter regulating the imaging characteristic of the imaging apparatus (inflection point, saturation point, D range, etc.), and changing of the imaging characteristic of the imaging apparatus by the control parameter set by the user is reflected on a live-view image.
