<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reaction-produced composition good in solubility, fluidity and gloss, to provide a printing ink containing the same, and to provide printed matter therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The composition is obtained by transesterification between animal/vegetable oil and a polyhydric alcohol followed by esterification with a monobasic acid (except acrylic acid and methacrylic acid); wherein the animal/vegetable oil consists of recovered and recycled oil, and the esterification catalyst is either one of 0-5 wt.% alkali metal compound-, alkaline earth metal compound-, titanium compound-, zirconium compound- and sulfonic acid compound-based ones.
