PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable image recorder whose transfer performance is not degraded regardless of the variance in electric resistance value of a transfer member due to heat from a fixing part. SOLUTION: The image recorder includes a temperature sensor comprising: a first temperature detection element 12B for noncontact detecting a temperature by measuring infrared rays 22 impinges from an enclosure of a heat fixing device 18 which fixes a toner image formed on a paper by heat or a member supported by the enclosure; and a second temperature detection element 12C for noncontact detecting an ambient temperature of the enclosure or an atmospheric temperature. A temperature of the heat fixing device is controlled on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor, and transfer voltages applied to transfer rollers provided in one or a plurality of toner image forming devices are controlled in accordance with an output of the first or second temperature detection element and a resistance value of one transfer roller.
