PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for broadcasting character information with digital wireless telephones which can simultaneously and selectively provide a plurality of different character information to all subscribers for every area and quickly provide emergency information, and its broadcasting system. SOLUTION: The broadcasting system has a broadcasting center 20 which acquires a plurality of contents from information service providers and converts the content into cell broadcasting map packets included with one broadcasting channel to download them when an on-air period begins, and a mobile switching center 13 which receives the cell broadcasting map packets downloaded from the broadcasting center 20 and assigns them for every one super frame of a dedicated broadcasting physical channel to transmit them to a base station 12 in a specified broadcasting area, and a mobile station 11 which receives the broadcasting physical channel transmitted from the mobile switching center 13 through the base station 12 to display the content on a display part 44.
