摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifying solid state imaging device for sharply reducing flicker noise even when reducing a transistor size in a pixel. SOLUTION: This amplifying solid state imaging device includes a pixel 10 having an optical receiver 1, a transfer transistor 2 for transferring a signal charge from the light receiver 1 to a signal charge storage 3, a reset transistor 4 for resetting the potential of the signal character storage 3 and an amplification transistor 5 for amplifying and reading the potential of the signal charge storage 3 and a control unit (gate driving circuit 20, scanning circuit 30) for controlling the potential of the signal charge storage 3. The potential of the signal charge storage 3 is controlled by the control unit (gate driving circuit 20, scanning circuit 30) before the potential of the signal charge storage 3 is read by the amplification transistor 5, so that the gate potential of the amplification transistor 5 can be shifted to a lower potential side than that in the reading time.
