PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional input device capable of reducing its thickness and size. SOLUTION: The multi-directional input device is constituted of a pivoting part 24 composed of a front side axis part 24a having a large diameter from a rotation center K, and a rear side axis part 24b having a small diameter from a rotation center K; and an axis receiving part 19 receiving the pivoting part 24. By the above, since the thickness and the size of the device in height-direction (back and forward direction) can be reduced by the existence of the rear side axis part 24b having a small diameter, and the front side axis receiving part 24 having large diameter is received by the axis receiving part 19 by an energizing force of a restoration means 26, a smooth rotational movement with long life can be obtained.
