PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly vacuum cleaner having a reduced size, provided with a dust collection part consisting of a cyclone separation type. SOLUTION: A cyclone separator 104 is provided with an inlet pipe 115 placed at the center part in the width direction of a vacuum cleaner body mounted with the cyclone separator 104 and a dust collection case 105, an exhaust opening provided in an inner pipe 131 and a first communication passage 210 for introducing the exhaust from the exhaust opening. The dust collection case 105 is provided with filters 106 and 112 for separating dust from air containing the dust flowing in the case 105 and a second communication passage 145 communicating with the first communication passage 120. The air passing through the second communication passage 145 joins together with air passing through the filters 106 and 112 to be sucked by a blower 107. An opening communicating with the exhaust opening, excepting a part near the inlet pipe, is formed in the inner pipe 131. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
