PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin thread retaining holder for setting threads on a bobbin so as not to fray for threads wound on the bobbin used as bobbin threads of a sewing machine. SOLUTION: The bobbin thread retaining holder is provided with a holder body (1) having a width relatively smaller than an inner side size of the bobbin (5), an approximately semicircular shape, flexibility and one or a plurality of catch fixing parts (3) on one end and a holding part (2) having a width smaller than the inner side size of the bobbin (5), an approximately semicircular shape, spring properties and a catch part (4) on one end for fixing. The other end of the main body (1) and the other end of the holding part (2) are turnably joined together. Alternatively, the holder has the holding part (2) having a width relatively smaller than the inner side size of the bobbin (5), an approximately circular shape, flexibility, spring properties, one or a plurality of the catch fixing parts (3) on one end and the catch parts (4) on the other end for fixing.
