The invention relates to a particulate filter for treating exhaust gas produced by an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle and to a corresponding method for filtering exhaust gas. The particulate filter for treating exhaust gas produced by an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle comprises: an enclosure (12) having a wall delimiting, on the inside, a pipe for the exhaust gas; an internal axial electrode (28) for creating an electrical field in the pipe; a set of annular teeth (22) transversally arranged inside the pipe for stopping the agglomerated particulates deviated by the electrical field, and; at least one electric resistance heater (38) for burning the deviated particulates between the teeth, the electric resistance heater (38) being supported by at least one radial face (30) of at least one tooth (22). |
