The invention concerns a transfer line for a preform heating device. Such a heating device is designed for a container blowing machine, each container being formed from a preform. The transfer line is designed for a preform heating device (31) of the type wherein a preform supporting means is mounted on an articulated line with means for driving in rotation the preform when it is being transported in the heating device. The means for driving the preform in rotation comprises a shaft (77) secured to one element (75) of the articulated line (60) and which bears a pinion gear (62) urged to roll along a raceway (63, 65) integral with a frame (79) when said articulated line is driven by motoring means.
