<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high quality images having no interference stripes with suppressed ghost memories in an image forming device and method using an amorphous silicon based photo conductor which is gradually changing its composition toward the surface layer from the photoconducting layer provided between the photoconducting layer and the surface layer and exposing images having peak wavelengths 380 nm or longer but 500 nm or shorter. <P>SOLUTION: The light from the exposing means to irradiate the amorphous silicon based photo conductor has at least two peaks in the wavelength. When representing the shortest peak wavelength by X (nm), and the longest peak wavelength by Y (nm), their relations to the peak wavelength A (nm) of the above irradiation light are shown by X<A and Y>A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
