TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER, ITS CONTROL METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller capable of controlling the temperature of a part to be heated in heat conduction constitution using a heat pipe, and its control method and an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: The temperature controller has: a heat source; a member to be adjusted whose temperature is adjusted; at least one heat pipe for transmitting the heat of the heat source or heat in the vicinity of the heat source to the member to be adjusted; a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of the member to be adjusted; a transmitted heat quantity adjusting mechanism for adjusting the quantity of heat transmitted to the member to be adjusted by the heat pipe; and a control means for controlling the transmitted heat quantity adjusting mechanism in accordance with output from the temperature detection means.
