<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly develop an inflation part for a rear seat between a side part on the inner side of a cabin and a side head part of an occupant seated in the rear seat in an airbag device for head protection having a configuration in which a rear end of an airbag in a folded state is returned to the forward side of the vehicle and accommodated in a predetermined part of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A rear end 32A (a part located on the rear side of a vehicle from a final end fixing point 18A) of a rear side inflation part 32 of an airbag 16 is passed through a loop-shaped tether 46 fixed to a body side and returned to the front side of the vehicle. Thus, when the rear side inflation part 32 is inflated and retracts the rear end 32A to the front side of the vehicle when the airbag is developed, the rear end 32A successively passes through the tethers 46, and is developed downward of the vehicle, and led between a side surface in the cabin and a side head of the occupant. Thus, the rear end 32A of the airbag 16 returned to the front side of the vehicle can be rapidly developed to the position (the outer side of the side head of the occupant) as targeted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
