摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating catalyst which is inexpensive and more active than platinum. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generating catalyst is comprised of tungsten oxide. It is manufactured by carrying out electro-deposition of tungsten oxide from an aqueous solution of tungsten peroxide. The hydrogen generating electrode is comprised of an electrode substrate covered by tungsten oxide film. The hydrogen generating electrode is manufactured by immersing the electrode substrate with the aqueous solution of tungsten peroxide and carrying out the electro-deposition of tungsten oxide on the surface of the electrode substrate. The hydrogen generating catalyst and the hydrogen generating electrode that are further more inexpensive than platinum and more active than platinum can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
