PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive lithographic printing plate material superior in plate wearability and in anti-staining properties, a support made thereof and the plate-making method thereof.

SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the aluminum plate support for the photosensitive lithographic printing plate material having a process for processing an aluminum plate after being roughening processed and anodically oxidizing processed with an aqueous solution containing polyvinyl phosphonic acid, a process for processing with the aqueous solution containing polyvinyl phosphonic acid has a first process and a second process processed with the aqueous solution containing polyvinyl phosphonic acid under the condition that the average molecular weight of the polyvinyl phosphonic acid in the first process is larger than that in the second process.
