<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for performing image processings, including rotation processing of digital image, capable of efficiently executing format conversion of image data, before and after the rotation processing. <P>SOLUTION: A color difference signal which can be dispensed with, after rotation is deleted from a second pixel, and color difference signals U12 and V12 which are needed after rotation are retracted in a second pixel, whereby image data D3 matched to a YUV422 format is formed.
