<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong service life of a lead-acid storage battery by reducing floating charge current under high temperature environment by replenishing lignin decrease in a negative electrode plate of the lead-acid storage battery using an electrode plate for an immediate use. <P>SOLUTION: After assembling the lead-acid storage battery by housing an electrode plate group on which formed positive and negative electrode plates for the immediate use have been alternately laminated via a separator in a battery case, an electrolytic solution in which lignin is saturated in dilute sulphuric acid or the electrolytic solution in which a part of lignin remains as undissolved powder is filled into the battery case. By this, the floating charge current decreases since the lignin covers an oxygen gas absorbing site by being adsorbed to a negative electrode active material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
