<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel in which detection of pushing pressure or sensitivity to pushing can be controlled. <P>SOLUTION: Protruded strip electrodes 47 on a color filter layer 43 of a counter substrate 41 are fabricated comprising first protruded electrodes 51 and second protruded electrodes 52 with different heights in an inverse proportion to the distance from a spacer 57. When the counter substrate 41 is pushed at relatively weak force, only the first protruded electrodes 51 having a larger height acts to switch. When the counter substrate 41 is pushed at relatively strong force, the second protruded electrode 52 having a smaller height as well as the first protruded electrode 51 act to switch. The number of protruded electrodes 47 for switching can be changed according to the force pushing the counter substrate 41, and thereby, the pressure upon pushing the counter substrate 41 can be detected. By controlling the heights of the first protruded electrode 51 and the second protruded electrode 52, the force to push the counter substrate 41 necessary to switch the first protruded electrode 51 or the second protruded electrode 52 can be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
