PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily printing pictures of various composition even if a user has no special knowledge and no special technique, and to provide a UI suitable for the same. SOLUTION: A camera carries out trimming automatically conforming to the composition that is previously set up when a photographer takes a picture that he wants to take and whose composition is previously set up. At this point of time, the camera is equipped with a means for determining an angle of field required for capturing a picture of set composition, an image take-in means for taking in an image having a necessary angle of field by making the camera zoom out automatically when a necessary angle of field can not be obtained, and a means for enabling the image of a finder (or a liquid crystal monitor) not to zoom even when the camera zooms out automatically.
